My uncle took an empty promissory note from my dad with signature. Recently he asked us a huge amount in return. If we didn’t payed back he gonna use that note. We handovered him an year back. If he recently added amount in that note is it possible to know when that amount written on that note?

A.Have you any witness when he obtained signature and how you know he has added amount again any witness now. There is no question of empty PN. Every PN if made in Non Judicial Stamp has a date of purchase and requires witness to the signature and attestation, any change renders the promissory note invalid.You have to find out any witness then and now it would be a good case for criminal conspiracy & cheating & involves various section of cpc.,with this you can pray before the competent court for forensic examination & report.Better to consult a professional Lawyer from panel of Vidhikarya to guide & help you quickly.
