Cyber defamation notice

My brother has received a legal notice for writing against a person in a whatsapp group. But actually it was me who has posted the same through my brothers mobile phone. Therefore I want to solely take the responsibility of the same and relieve my brother from the legal responsibility . How do I do this ?

A.Make an apology to the person who has sent that message. Go and meet him say sorry I think matter will be sort out

A.Admitting guilty or liability as claimed in legal notice is different from admitting posting of message on WhatsApp
