Regarding Domestic violence Regarding Domestic violence

Posted 2 years ago

I married in 2019, after 1.5 yrs i came to know my husband is not a good person i.e. he is of fraud/criminal nature. From that time, I'm staying seperately. But he is harassing me by calling / disturbing whenever I go outside he try to tourture me. I didn't file divorce yet as my study is going on, so don't want to distract in fighting case.

A.Do you have details of his criminal antecedents? If yes then file a complaint with all the details in the local police station and mention about the calls/threatening you are receiving from your husband. Also, send him a legal notice that due to his behaviour you are not able to tolerate the things and therefore it is not possible to live with him. But, I would suggest you to meet with a lawyer of your choice and discuss what exactly you want to do in future regarding your relationship.

A.Hi,
Approach the Court after filing a complaint with the police under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. They can they grant you police protection and prevent him from harassing you. You should also block his numbers and social media. You can file for divorce when you believe it will be most convenient to you.

A.Hi,
You can approach the Court to obtain protection orders from him under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. The Court will then grant you police protection and prevent him from contacting you. You can then file for divorce after completing your education.
