How can a minor girl (aged 14+) get legal help in India for being mentally tortured and neglected (domestic violence) by her parents? How can a minor girl (aged 14+) get legal help in India for being mentally tortured and neglected (domestic violence) by her parents?

A 14+ years old girl child has been mentally abused and neglected for last 4 years now and the child cannot tolerate as the situation exceeds the limit. She does not want to stay with her parents at all. What are the legal options in India available that the girl can approach for her own protection.

If the girl wants to live with any other family who loves her lot and she also loves the family too much, is it possible that the family gets the custody of that child?

As she is above 14, whether her desire can be addressed or not?

District protection officer is saying that by all means the child should be sent to the children home and there is no provision to get the custody of the girl despite her desire. Child commission rights is saying as the child's age above 14 so there is a point to hear her words. It's important and also as per the juvenile justice act if someone is fit to take the full responsibility of the child then it can be considered. So don't understand what protection officer is saying. The child loves the family lot and the family also love the child too much. Almost last two years they have taken care of the child in terms of food, education.medical etc. Please suggest me if there is really any chance because the girl is slowly moving to such depression that she can take any drastic step which is not acceptable.
