RTO agent fraud

i have given 5500 to a RTO agent in PUNE for registraion of my two wheeler in pune RTO and get the bill.
he took the money for last 30days.
still he just doing anything.
now i search for internet pages and find out they did like this with non marathi people as they can't get help to get the money back or do the work.

I have all the recording of phone call where he always tell me, today must or tomorrow .but he doing nothing.

is there any help i can get from police?

A.You can file complaint of cheating u/s 420 and breach of trust. Send him legal notice through lawyer.

Just asking, as one agent took 1000 from me for license documentation but for past 60 days he is just saying that it will be done tomorrow & when I told him that it is a fraud case then he was sure that no-one listen to me for Rs 1000. And I am pretty much sure that he will be doing the same with others also. So it seems that it will be a hassle for me to file complaint for Rs 1000 & these fraud people also take the advantage of that.

A.did you got any receipt of the transaction. In most cases these agents cash in hand to complete the work and the chances of proving is minimal. However if such transaction was done in the presence of two witnesses and are willing to testify the same, then lodge a complaint with RTO and local police station. Beside you have enough proof of the recorded statement. Contact a criminal lawyer to assist you in this matter.
