Illegal Things Caught In Bus

I want to start bus service between Mumbai to Gorakhpur. What if any pessenger caught with illegal things in my bus.

A.There is no worry for owner of bus. But he should be aware what passenger carrying and which parcels are delivering by his bus. Passenger will be accused but bus drivers also accused of ignorance of liability . Because law helps to vigilant not to sleepy.

The owner of the bus is equally responsible it is called vicarious liability. It also applies in case of tenant and landlord relationship.

A.There's no liability on the part of the bus owner if the passenger is caught red handed with the illegal articles. Seizer list is prepared by the IO and the driver and conductor or other passenger might become the witnesses to such seizer.

A.Passenger will be liable not the owner of the Bus, but the liability to prove the fact will be on the Bus owner.

A.Naturally, you as carrier will also be liable. Every business if fraught with risks.

A.The passenger will be prosecuted as per law. You will just be summoned​ as a witness
