Husband refusing Divorce Husband refusing Divorce

My husband got involved with another woman and threatened to divorce me when I asked him to cut off ties with her. After a lot of fights and trauma I got fed up and we separated as he wanted. After separation I informed the woman's family about her and my husband. Now my husband is refusing to file a divorce because I told her family and does not want to live together as well. Im stuck in between. What do I do?

A.If he is not willing to go for MCD, then your only option is for contested divorce on the ground of cruelty.

Just remind him that he won't be able to marry anyone unless he gets a divorce. And if he does, the provision of bigamy will take it course wherein he will get apprehended and worst the humiliation of arrest.

Also tell him that you can get a decree of judicial separation or a decree of divorce and also entitled to maintenance. I am sure he will come to his sense, if he really want to go for a second marriage. If not, you can either go for judicial separation or a contested divorce on cruelty. Women of our country are not helpless, and law of land is in favour of the women. You have so much options, you just need to pick the course of action which suits you most.

A.You are wasting time.

You should immediately file for the divorce even if your husband is not agreeing.

Once the petition is filed and your husband appears before the court, then there are very good chances of him agreeing fir the divorce.

He is just delaying and harassing you and trying to pressurise and punich you for informing the family of that lady.

Don't come under the pressure.

Don't give him chance to harass you anymore

A.From whatever you have mentioned here, when you say that your husband is involved with another woman meaning he has relationship then I will assume that he is having an adulterous relationship with her. Tell him that if he will not file a mutual divorce then you will file a divorce case on the ground of adultery and there is a possibility that he can be jailed if the adultery is proven in the court.
