Salary hold on notice period Salary hold on notice period

Hi , My company delayed the salary as it was supposed to credit on 10 july but it didn't . I have resigned from my post on 14 th july and on 18 th when they released the salary they didn't give me my salary .
when i raised the question they told me that i will get it on final settlement and my notice period is 2 months . I told them that they should release my june salary as it was due and i resigned on 14 th july so starting from 14 th july to 14 th sep they can implement this rule.
But they denied .
Please advise me what should i do ?
Should i go for legal notice ?
Can they hold my june month salary ?

A.You would have signed the appointment order while joining this job so based on that you can take steps legally, if you have any viable point to proceed from your side
