Room on rent. Room on rent.

We took a room on rent one year ago. The terms and conditions were proved to be false after shifting in the room.we found that all the other kirayedaar were college going boys ,the house owner didn't provide us kitchen platform which he promised before approving the room, there was no space for keeping our two wheeler so we had to keep it outside the maingate till we lived there. We couldn't pay the rent of 4 months. To recover the amount of rent, the house owner got an affidavit duly signed on a simple paper by my husband forcefully that within one month my husband will pay the rent and till he is keeping our LCD TV as mortgage. Since the house owner has taken the affidavit on a simple paper, can we take any legal action against the house owner as he told us everything wrong which we asked for, before approving the room.plz give a legal advice.

A.Dear Client,
Presumably you must have seen the Room before signing the Agreement for a particular time frame.
Now you have few options left out before you.
Option 1. Please ask the House Owner to comply as per the Agreement.
Option 2. File a Case against him for violation of the contract which includes space to be provided and the charges per sq feet etc.
Shanti Ranjan Behera,Advocate
The choice is yours.
