Flat unregistered consequence

I have a flat in Bangalore but due to friction with wife since the flat sale agreement was on both names so the sane us not registered. Can u advice the powers of the promoter if he can change it to my name. Is there a confiscation policy if not registered in time. Kindly advice in detail.
