After surveying the land for transfer of patta. Is it mandatory to pay bribes to the Taluk office to get the patta? If so how do we figure out the right amount?

A.Dear Client,
Officially you are not supposed to pay.
Unofficially speaking your file will move an inch unless and until you grease the palms of the lower ranks of the bureaucracy of the revenue department of your state government.
The quantum varies from state to state depending upon the style of living of the babus and per capita income of the state and minimum wage of the unskilled worker which is very unfortunate and disgusting. The corrupt people never accept money from the unknown people.It is always done by a middleman.
