Humiliation and mental harrasment by teacher

I am an 18 yr old btech 1st yr student and my teacher asked me to stand up and asked the reason for missing the previous class to which I said that I was having a headache hence I could not attend the class to which he asked me to leave and so I left then he came out in the corridor and asked me to lean down in front of him and he was going to hit me but he stopped then I leaned down on my knees in front of the entire class and he said now tell me and after that he went inside and I went home..are teachers allowed to humiliate students in the name of punishment .if not what legal action can I take against the teacher.

The teacher can give punishment as per provision but can not humiliate.

Who is that rascal to scold the grown up boy like you. You can take action against him and force him to pay compensation and he has to resign the job. Collect the evidence and share to me. I will issue a legal notice to him and teach him a lesson.

According to your query, if indeed the reason of your headache was genuine there was no reason for the teacher to act like he did. Taking a legal action will not be correct.
1. Tell about the incident to the Principal of your college
2. Every college has a harassment cell, give a written complaint there
3. Write a written letter to your principal for the same
4. Ask your parents to write a letter of complaint and mention that if proper steps will not be taken against the teacher they will be forced to take necessary steps.
Hope this will work and he will apologise and mend his ways.

The teacher has slapped other students with petty reasons and the management has done nothing .the management of the college is totally with the teacher and will take no action against him and I am not aware of any humiliation cell in our college .The teacher has been humiliating and beating students of several departments.he tears their copies and throws it out of the window.The principal is aware of everything

In that case. No teacher has a right to hit or slap any student. You must directly talk to the authorities of the college and have a talk with the students [union] in any. More so, your college must be affiliated with a certain university, you can also complain to them. Failing everything you may take a legal recourse. But do it step by step. starting from the principal in college to higher authorities and also do the same in writing so that you have written proof for future.

Your teacher is having a quasi- parental authority on you and therefore she /he has got a right to punish you in order to correct you for your mistake.
