What are sons legal rights on property.. my father passed away in 2005 without leaving a will, we sold a flat that was in my fathers name same year and bought a new flat from the proceeds of such flat in my mothers name in the same year. Do i have any rights on such new property as a son.

Yes, since your mother has no source of income as such legal right.

A.You shall have the same rights as a legal heir would have if your mother dies without making a will. However if the owner of that property is the mother and she creates a will, then the distribution of such property will be according to the will.
