Eviction of tenant who reside from 1963 without any rent agreement

Mr Sukhani and his family started living in our house from 1962-63 on verbal agreement with my grandfather. Every month they pay us a meagre amount of rent with full facility and use the property on their will. They do not seek any kind of permission for anything like repair or whitewash or wiring or anything related to maintainance of their flat. Now Mr Sukhani expired in 2017 but his wife and children and grandchildren still refuses to leave the apartment.
Kindly suggest whether the occupancy is legal or illegal and advice the necessary course of action at the earliest.

A.It is advisable to consult a property lawyer to issue notices and to file a case against the occupants of flat that the flat is required for your own family use as quickly as possible .

The property is located in south Kolkata prime location with per sq feet valuation of about Rs. 10,000 in Golpark main road.
