A.dear client in your matter No the procedure to obtain the decree of divorce and annulment of marriage is different. And to let you the procedure is time taking. Basically, what so ever is required (annulment or divorce) is based on the grounds.

A.On getting a decree of nullity from Court your status in Law will be that of a spinster/ bachelor ( as the case my be ).

A.Nullity means as it is not taken place or legally not taken place, this happens when the marriage happens were either party have played fraud/ induced/ misrepresented/ suppressed any facts regarding certain issues.(mentioned in section 12 of HM Act).. if proved the court nullifies marriage ie..deemed that marriage not taken place legally
Whereas another process of divorce like mutual and contest it accepting the marriage and filing petition for issues like physical , mental harassment

A.If you were decieved into giving your consent to the marriage by false statement of something material , for example age, then only you can file for nullity.

A.If the marriage is illegal and not according to marriage rules then it is called void marriage.u have to file case in family court to declare marriage as null and void.where as the marriage which is legal but want to dissolve the marriage,then u have to file divorce case
