Name change after divorce
After Divorce i want to get back to only my first name , i dont want any surname at all . would passport authority do this change ? Also Indian legal system allows it ?

A. Yes they will be changing it. You will need proper documents for the same and they will provide you with a checklist which you need to provide them before such change. Verifying the documents they shall proceed with change of name.

But, in case you have a baby in between then there might be problem with regard to paternity.
Who is the legal father/biological father of the child.
In case wife files a case you might land up in jail, paternity test through DNA in Govt lab etc.
So, it is better to legalise.
