A person from a wrongly parked car when honked starts abusing and then takes out a rod from his car and threatens and then again abuses. Was travelling with my wife hence didn’t respond. I have the entire footage on my dashcam with audio but the car number plate is not identifiable. Request guide.

A.Dear Client,
When a wrongdoer instead of seeking an excuse for his wrong, can threaten or abuse you on the open road in a violent, or aggressive manner, you can take legal action against him but in the absence of a registration number of the vehicle, based on your dashcam with audio recording of the incident, you, perhaps may not be able to access justice in the matter even through litigation. Further, in the absence of the registration number of the vehicle, Police Station may not entertain or register your complaint or FIR against an unknown owner of the vehicle. So, decide your course of action considering the pros and cons of the matter and the legal consequences involved in the matter.

A.Dear Client,
While you may not have the car's complete number plate, note down any other identifiable details about the vehicle, such as its color, make, model, and unique features. These details could be useful if you decide to take legal action.

File a Police Complaint: If you believe the behavior was threatening or abusive, you can file a complaint with the local police station. Provide them with all available information, including the dashcam footage. Even if you don't have the complete number plate, the other details you provide could help identify the vehicle.

Provide Witness Information: If there were any witnesses present during the incident, gather their contact information. Their testimony could support your account of the incident.

Thanks
