A.Dear client,
The summons is an order of the court. If you ignore the order then a warrant can be issued for arrest. The penalty will be related to contempt of court. “Failure to Appear” in most states results in a bench warrant, an arrest warrant issued by a Judge.

A.Dear Client,
As per the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1938, legal notice must be sent to the drawer of the cheque within 30 days from the date of the cheque bounce. Thereafter within 15+30=45 days from the date of sending the legal notice, the case u/s.138 of the Act must be filed against the drawer of the cheque. In case it is filed beyond that time limit then the same shall be time barred. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
