A.Dear Client,
When you join the Company for an online data entry job then you must have a copy of your offer letter or agreement and if that offer letter/agreement is silent on the subject or without any specific terms stating that in case you leave the job before the assigned period leaving the assignment incomplete, you have to pay a certain amount of money towards compensation for damage or financial loss caused to the company for leaving the job incomplete and without notice, then the Company cannot take any legal action for recovery of said money from an ex-employee. Further, Section 73 of the Contract Act, 1872 makes provision for unliquidated damages. Section 74 deals with liquidated damages and no compensation is attracted for mere breach of contract u/s.73. 74 of the Act unless such breach resulted in an actual loss or damage to the opposite party employer.. When you verify the status of the Company which prima facie, appears to be fake and if you receive any threat or legal action from the Company or its agent, then bring the matter to the notice of the local police station by filing a GD/FIR and consult an Advocate for serving a legal notice to the Company and further course of action.

A.Dear,

Gather Information: Collect all available information about the job, including the job advertisement, the agreement you signed, any communication with the company, and payment receipts or transaction records.

Verify the Company: As you mentioned, the company's address does not seem to exist. You can try to verify the legitimacy of the company by conducting online research, checking for official registration, and looking for reviews or complaints from others who may have had similar experiences.

Cease Work: If you have concerns about the legitimacy of the job, consider ceasing work immediately to avoid any potential financial loss or further complications.

Contact Authorities: You can report the suspected scam to your local police or cybercrime cell. Provide them with all the relevant information and documents you have collected.

Notify Your Bank: If you have provided any sensitive financial information or if there have been any financial transactions, notify your bank or financial institution immediately. They can advise you on the steps to take to protect your accounts.
