I have selected for a company through my campus placements, I have 6 months of training but Im not adjusted to the place so I sent my resignation letter, but one of my head said that I have to repay my training amount, but it's not there in my terms and conditions agreement and also in offer letter. A.Dear client,

As you mentioned there is no mention in the agreement and the offer letter regarding paying back the training cost, here you need not pay the training cost back. Until and unless there is a contractual obligation you can quit your job.

Thank You

A.Dear client,
If the same was not mentioned in your offer letter or employment agreement, then you don't have to pay. The concerned person asking for the amount has to show the clause where it was mentioned that certain amount has to be paid and if the same is mentioned in the agreement or offer letter, then you will have to pay.

A.Dear Client,
When your terms of employment are silent on the subject, the Company cannot claim training expenses from a probationer/trainee on his resignation outrightly. Let the Company claim that amount in breach of terms and conditions or your employment because, in the absence of any cause of action, litigation before the concerned authority/court may not yield any resolution to resolve the issue. In case you face any such cause of action, then reach out to the office of the concerned Labour Commissioner or the Inspector of Shops and Establishment, whichever is regulatory authority in your case, to file a complaint over unfair labour practices against the Company for redressal of your grievance.
