A.Dear Client,
Facing an accusation of a different charge while on probation, especially if unrelated to the original case, introduces complexities that require careful consideration. First and foremost, consult with a criminal defense lawyer to navigate the legal intricacies of your situation. In the appeal to the sessions court, there's a possibility that the punishment could be increased upon conviction, depending on the circumstances and the court's discretion. The time it takes for a case to be decided in the sessions court can vary, and there isn't a fixed maximum duration. However, it's advisable to work closely with your legal counsel to expedite the proceedings whenever possible. If you discover that a witness has a serious criminal record and this information wasn't disclosed in the lower court, it's essential to bring this to the attention of the sessions court, as it could impact the credibility of the witness. Regarding travel visas, being involved in a criminal case might affect your ability to obtain visas, and it's advisable to seek legal advice on the specifics of your situation. If convicted by the sessions court, you can indeed appeal to the high court. Engaging an experienced criminal defense attorney is crucial at every stage to explore your legal options, ensure your rights are protected, and present the strongest possible defense.
Thankyou
