A.Dear Client,
In the given scenario, one can file a complaint against loan recovery agents by visiting the local Police Station and sending a copy of the complaint to the concerned Bank. Complaints against these recovery agents appointed by the Bank can also be lodged at https://cms.rbi.org.in or by calling the helpline number 14440. The complaint can be submitted online or through an offline complaint filed at the Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre (CRPC) at RBI, 4th Floor, Sector 17, Chandigarh, PIN-160017. A recent judgment by the Hon'ble Patna High Court (Dhananjay Seth v. Union of India, 2023 SCC OnLine Pat 1393, decided on 19-5-2023) directed the Superintendent of Police in all districts of Bihar to ensure that recovery agents of Banks and Financial Institutions do not take the law into their hands without a court order. Additionally, seeking a quick counseling session with a certified credit counselor can provide valuable insights into resolving or settling the matter effectively.
Thankyou
