A.Dear Client,
EWS certificates are typically issued to individuals belonging to economically weaker sections of society, regardless of their caste or religion. People with a family income of less than Rs 8 lakh a year are categorized as the Economically weaker section or EWS in India only if they do not belong to ST, SC, or OBC caste categories. There is no requirement for any caste certificate if you want to avail EWS certificate. The Constitution of India debars reservations based on religion in India. So, in the absence of a caste certificate, you can apply for an EWS Certificate mentioning your religion instead of your caste provided you meet the other eligibility criteria of EWS.

A.Dear Client,
In the context of an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate, the focus is typically on the economic status rather than caste or religion. If you do not have a specific caste or sub-caste and fall under the EWS category, it is reasonable to provide information about your religion (Christianity) in the absence of caste details. EWS certificates are often issued to individuals who meet the economic criteria defined by the government, regardless of their caste or religious background. However, it's advisable to check with the local authorities or the designated office responsible for issuing EWS certificates to ensure that providing your religion is acceptable and aligns with the requirements for the certificate in your region.
Thankyou
