How to know if notice is real or fraud

I hv been receiving calls and now received a notice at my home address not email address for a credit card payment which i had nvr applied for they say its 13+yrs old
A.send the strong reply to the legal notice received by you to your home address from a good lawyer.. include in the reply that you never had applied for any credit card.
