A.Dear Client,
A company cannot establish its business in residential property without the approval and license from the competent authority. Under the law, it is illegal to run a office or commercial activity in residential premises. In this case, the company must take approval of the competent Municipal Authority to change the character of the building into commercial property in order to engage in business activities. If the company fails to adhere to the mandate or violates the law, then it will land in legal trouble.
Hope it helps.
Thank you.

A.Dear Client,
The use of a residential building for commercial purposes is not permissible under the law unless the class or character of the building is converted by the competent authority i.e, Municipal Authority or other authorities who collected the property tax based on the class or character of the building. If the building is converted or marked as a commercial building then it is ok, otherwise, the company may face legal consequences.
