I have been on unpaid oeave since 1 July due to medical conditions. Having informing the employer right frm begining about pregnancy n sharing medical certificates yet employer is harrassing and asking me to rejoin. I am eligible for maternity as per law from 8th month.Infact they have removed me from all.official sites, taken all company assets, not providing me any increment or bonus to which I am eligible till I am on payroll. Please suggest
A.Maternity benefits and related leaves are guaranteed under the law. Politely tell them that if they do not let you have the maternity benefits then you will be complaining to the labour commissioner. Their act amounts to breaching of the law and for that they can severely penalized.
