Landlord asking money and threatening

Hi we took house on rent and we stayed for 6 months as leaving time landlord didn't came to check flat and returned some advance amoutn and still having 5.5k now he is threatening bus to give 36k for cleaning and painting and one month rent he is a lawyer so we didn't know now what step can we take any response will be helpful

Law is same for common man and lawyer. If you are correct no need to worry. But please check
1. Have you followed your rental agreement correctly ?
2. Have you given him advance notice if you are leaving before the agreement period. Do you have any evidences in this regard?
3. First ask him to return your 5.5k with interest.
So no need to worry for lawyer or anyone if you are legally correct.

A.read your rental agreement, if there any teams and conditions about cleaning and painting and one-month rent charges are there or not?
