About Writing name in Passport

My name is "Kamaldeep" in adhar card, 10th , 12th marksheets, license, pan card but my name in birth certificate and residence certificate is "Kamal Deep". I want to apply for passport. People say that it's mandatory to have a surname for future purposes like applying for foreign visa etc. Can I write my name in passport as:
First Name - Kamal
Sur Name - Deep
Sir please reply. Will this cause any problem in future?

Yes, you can write this as your surname, however, the same needs to be changed on the other documents as well.
