I am 24 .I was living with my parents.they wanted me to get married but I don't want to because I want achieve my dream .but now they started forcing me and without my knowledge they are arranging everything for marriage...I want to leave place and I become independent...so what i should do now to avoid forced marriage ...if I go out of this house they would give missing complaint against me.. so to avoid this what I can do legally??

A.Hi,
There are several NGOs that help out with at-risk women, you can look up some of them online. As you are an adult, the police cannot compel you to return to your parents even if they file a missing persons complaint. Such false cases can also be quashed by the High Court under Section 482 CrPC. Your parents can be found guilty for making false cases under Section 209 IPC.

A.Hi,
You will have to find alternative accommodation first and then move there. As you are an adult, the police cannot force you to return to your parents, you can have any false complaints quashed by the High Court.

A.First, set your goal. You have not mentioned in your post that what exactly you want to do in your life. Unless and untill you have clear objectives you will not be able to convince others regarding your decision.
