Hi, our marriage is taken place in a temple where the witnesses are elders in our family. Since it happened in covid time. But the marriage is not registered. Now, my wife is staying at her parents home . Now can i file a suit for declaration of marriage in family court by myself. What are the requirements for that.

A.Why do you want to follow this path of filing a declaration suit. You can apply for registry of marriage with the registrar even post marriage and get this done faster and quicker.

A.You can file a suit before the family court for the declaration of marital status. In the absence of family court, you can file a civil lawsuit before the court of the District judge.

A.You can first have a talk with her and her parents if not solved then can send your family elders. If not solved then you can file a suit for restitution in court.

A.i think you should try to collect your elders to maintain your family life .if they are failed to do it ,then you should file a case against your father in law and his side that they are not sending your wife by foce and your wife want to live with you.if your wife are agree to live with you then it is ok.other wise next step you will choose.
