Workers rights toward job security and compensation

Our bank want to cut down employees due to they moving some process in other city. Due to.which they cutting staff strength by giving excuss that they are not capable or incompetent . There are people who work 5, 6 ,7 yrs working same organisation and till date non of them received memo or show cause mail from hr or dept . Due internal office politics they forcing some employees to resigned. I want guidance what to do in such case. also note that bank contiously recruiting staff in other department but not moving staff from this dept. As all are well qualified banker left other organisation due to seeing good furtune in this bank.
A.If you are having a workers Union in your Bank and if they have any sort of settlement with the Bank you can take shelter under the terms of those settlements to prevent such termination. If the Bank is a member of IBA and is having a common settlement, so much the better. Finally, it is your Union which has to deal with this as individually your rights are only as much as the appointment letter and service rules provide..
