Hello sir,

My name is kumar kuruba, i have given different surname to my child . is it legally fine? or do I need to change it to same surname in all certificates.

My child aadhar name "aadhya Ponte d/o kumar kuruba"
Birth certificate one look like "aadhya Ponte d/o kumar Ponte"

Can i try to change my surname in her birth certificate or can i change her surname to my surname? please suggest

You can have a different surname for your child and there is no problem at all. But in your case you have mentioned a different surname for yourself too in the birth certificate and that is a problem. You need to ensure that your surname is reflected correctly in all the documents
