A.If your parents have died intestate then you need to get their death certificates and obtain legal heirship certificates or Succession Certificate. If your parents have died testate then the executor of the Will must probate the Will. In either situation you have to engage an advocate. Once you have obtained the documents transfer of property will be done in your name. Contact Vidhikarya for allotting a local lawyer.

A.You need to take the death certificates and legal heirship certificates of your parents to the revenue authorities and make an application to change the revenue records in your name, unless they have made a will. If there is a will and your property falls under a place where probate is cumpolusory, you need to prabate it otherwise make the change of records application by enclosing a copy of that Will.

A.Dear,

As you are the only legal heir of your late mother, apply for Legal Heir Certificate from the MRO office (Jurisdiction where the property is situated) by producing the death certificate of your mother. Thereafter, once you get the Legal Heir Certificate, with the help of the said certificate, you can transfer the property on your name.
