My brother over the past 10 years have been cheating me with all the money i have earned and given to the family . over 80 Laks rupees . i have proofs of transfer via internet banking. is there any way to recover or take any legal action ? He had received jewels as dowry from my in laws without my knowledge and used for his own purposes i got to know this only now. What kind of actions can be taken against him.? or what kind of events will happen post complaint to a nearest police station.

A.Since this is a case involving your brother, it will hard to prove that he did fraudulent transactions, he can easily say that it was sent with your own will. But for the transactions with your in laws they can file a case for cheating.

A.Dear Client
In such type of cases involving the close relatives it becomes difficult to prove that there has been cheating and the other person had the wrongful intention to cheat. Since all he money was transferred by you hence the police and court will consider that you voluntarily gave the money. For taking jewelry from your in laws you may initiate a case of cheating.
Once you lodge a police complaint then police will call your brother for further investigation.
