My Academic certicates destroyed

Hello Sir/Madam,
One of my roommates destroyed my academic certificates which includes my SSC, Intermediate and graduation certificates.
Can I go against him legally.?
Which laws are applicable in this context.?
Please help me with the requested information.

A.dear client kindly Immediately approach police and they will register a case on the basis of which you can get duplicates and punishment to him.

A.Dear client Lodge an FIR against him. and apply for duplicates of from Board and university for your future use.
