College issues

My Dental College Hostel Has a rule of closing Hostel gates between 10:30 pm - 6 AM and due to this we cant even order food during this time slot as we cant go to campus gate for collecting food parcels
i mean they let us starve, no other college in my vicinity has such rule
Any Laws they violating ??
if yes then which ?
is there a legal way to tackle this situation

Rules are made for students' hostel by the college authority commonly considering all the aspects and impacts to protect the security and interest of the students. In case it is your personal problem then it cannot be resolved by the complaint anywhere as nobody will entertain a standalone grievance. However, in case it is a common problem facing almost by all/average boarders of the hostel, then you may represent/escalate the grievance jointly before the concerned college authority including its affiliation authority for getting a resolution in the matter.
