Pay after placement scam Pay after placement scam

I have been trying to get a job as a fresher, but could not for a long time. Meanwhile I had seen this advertisement that was shared through whatsapp from my freinds by a online e learning platform
that guarantees 100% job (100% placement guarantee)provides a placement guarantee program at ₹0 upfront cost via an interactive classroom experience by helping the students develop their skills and get placed in amazing companies and also mentioned Pay 0 fee if we fail to deliver our promises and also get ₹20,000* from us like if placed at less than ₹10L CTC after completing the program
Total fee: ₹0
No fee below ₹10L CTC. And for

CTC ₹10L to ₹25L

₹12500 paid monthly for 10 months after you start earning, total ₹1,25,000 + Gst.

CTC ₹25L and above, ₹17500paid monthly for 10 months after you start earning

Total fee: ₹1,75,000 +Gst

So I check the background and I decide to join.

And they made us take an an undertaking that I will have to pay the full amount if my attendance is below 85 percentage.
After several classes I thought it was a scam where they will make us pay the money anyway, so I decided to leave, and stopped attending classes, and they send me the breach of contract due to attendance shortage and liable to pay full amount. And also mentioned that they will send a legal notice.

I haven't learned a single thing from that platform and they are asking for the full money, and their are a lot of students that are suffering from this issue, where they take full advantage of students who make a single mistake and scare them with warning notices.

Is their any legal action that can be taken by students who are getting fooled by these fraud advertisements pay after placement.

A.Dear Client,
It appears that being allured by the fake advertisement and vague assurance of placement in the job you were trapped by the digital fraudsters to extort money from you on either pretext with ulterior motives which is a criminal offence both under I T Act and IPC. Once you along with other aggrieved candidates serve a legal notice to their referred link and report the scam to the Police Station and Cyber Crime Cell, they may immediately block their link to hide their identity from the social media to avoid criminal prosecution and legal consequences for the proven scam. Taking advantage of the unemployment crisis, the fake entities engaged them to trap the unemployed youth to extort money in digital platforms with fake identities. So, as explained above, in the given situation, serve a legal notice to the fraud entities before they serve you and bring the scam to the notice of the Police Station and Cyber Crime Cell with all the relevant documents, and sources to enable the investigating authority to find out the fraudsters and prove the allegation against them and put them behind the bar.

A.Dear Client,
Many jurisdictions have consumer protection laws in place to safeguard individuals from misleading advertisements and unfair practices. If the e-learning platform's promises were misleading, you could explore whether these laws apply in your case.

Misrepresentation and Fraud: If the platform made false promises and did not deliver on those promises, it might be considered misrepresentation or even fraud in some cases.

Terms and Conditions: Carefully review any documents you've signed, including the undertaking and the terms of the program.

Legal Notice: If you receive a legal notice, it's crucial to take it seriously.

Collect Evidence: If you believe you were misled, gather all relevant documentation, including the advertisement, any communications with the platform, and copies of the terms and conditions. This evidence could be valuable if you decide to take legal action.

Join Forces with Other Students: If there are other students facing similar issues with the same platform, consider reaching out to them and exploring whether you can collectively address the situation. Group complaints might have more impact.

Consumer Forums and Regulators: Some jurisdictions have consumer forums, regulatory bodies, or ombudsman services that handle complaints related to misleading advertisements and unfair business practices. You could explore whether such resources are available in your area.
