A.Dear Client,
In India, court fees are generally calculated as a percentage of the claimed amount. The court fee for filing a Section 138 case is typically a percentage of the amount mentioned in the bounced check. Here's a general breakdown:

Stamp Duty: Stamp duty is the primary component of court fees. It is typically calculated as a percentage of the face value of the dishonored check. The exact percentage can vary from state to state. For example, it can be around 1% to 2% of the check amount in some states.

Ad Valorem Fees: In addition to the stamp duty, there may be ad valorem fees, which are calculated as a percentage of the claim amount. This percentage can also vary by state.

Fixed Fees: Some states may also impose fixed fees in addition to the stamp duty and ad valorem fees.

Legal Charges: You may also need to factor in legal fees if you are hiring a lawyer to represent you in the case.

Please consult with a local legal expert or check with the local court to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on court fees for filing a Section 138 case in your specific jurisdiction.
Thank you.

A.Dear Sir.
There is no court fee for Section 138 of NI Act. You have to pay advocate fees which may be between Rs.30.000 to Rs.100.000/- and plus Rs.1000 to 3000 per every court hearing date.
