For misappropriation of Society funds, you may file a Complaint against the Society before the Registrar or Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies. As regards the non-allotment of a plot on receipt of consideration money, you may file a civil suit against the society for specific performance before the Civil Court and a money suit for recovery of the money paid to the society for the purpose. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
Collect Evidence: Gather as much evidence as possible to support your claims of financial mismanagement. This may include meeting minutes, financial statements, receipts, and any correspondence related to the issue. The more evidence you have, the stronger your case will be.
Engage Other Members: Speak with other members of the housing society who share your concerns. Building a collective effort can help in addressing the issue more effectively
File a Complaint with Registrar: If you suspect financial irregularities, you can file a formal complaint with the Registrar of Cooperative Societies or the relevant authority responsible for overseeing housing societies in your jurisdiction. Provide them with the evidence you've collected and request an investigation into the matter.
Attend General Body Meetings: Continue to actively participate in the general body meetings of the housing society. Raise your concerns during these meetings and demand transparency and accountability in financial matters. Ensure that your objections and concerns are documented in the meeting minutes.
