How to construct a wall in commercial space owned by me and my brother How to construct a wall in commercial space owned by me and my brother

There is a g+2 storey building as a join property on my name and my brother name. First floor is used by my brother and second floor is used by me for housing.
It is a road facing building. Ground floor is divided into two sections. Road facing section in ground floor is constructed as small shop for commercial purpose. Back side section is rented for tenants. My brother is using the front section commercial space for business and pays very less amount as rent for which there is no record. I want to construct a wall and divide into two halves and occupy my half how can I do this ? Does law permit it?

A.Dear Sir,
If you are in an urban area go to the local Municipality Office with your plan for approval before implementing it failing which it will attract punitive legal action. Do not forget to look in to the local laws/State Laws.
