Can my ews certificate be made? Agricultural land is in the name of my grandfather which is more than the limit and my father is the only male child of my grandfather.

A.Dear Sir,
Since your father not holding any land and it being land of your grandfather as such you can easily get EWS certificate.

A.Dear Client,
Reservation to the SCs. STs and OBCs in case of direct recruitment on all India basis by open competition is given at the rate of 15%, 7.5% and 27% respectively. Persons who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs, and OBCs and whose family has a gross annual income below Rs 8 lakh are only identified as EWSs for the benefit of reservation. If your income is above 8 lakh, you are treated as a Creamy Layer candidate and you can't get an OBC certificate. You will be treated as an OC candidate at the central level even though you are a BC candidate at the state level. In order to qualify as an OBC non-creamy layer candidate, the applicant's parents' annual income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs.

A.Dear client,

the criteria to fit under the bar of EWS is that your annual family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum. Your family must not own more than 5 acres of agricultural land. For the purposes of EWS income, the income of the entire family is included.

But as per law grandfather doesn't come under the the family but under extended family so his property will not be included for EWS unless the said property has been transferred in the name of your father as you mentioned he is the only male child of your grandfather.

Thank You
