regarding elec meter

i have purchased 2 bhk flat from an builder , but there is no individual elec. meter for flat there is only 1 meter for all 12 flats. can we take new connection seperataly

Firstly you need to check your agreement with your developer/ builder whether there is any terms and conditions regarding electrical meter and whether you can take separate electrical meter or not.
If there is a specific point regarding that then according to that you need to have e a conversation with the builder or secretary of your society.
It might also be necessary for you to send them an official letter requesting a replacement meter.

Firstly you have to take the permission of the builder and only if he allows then you can apply for the seperate metre and for applying the same you need proper documentation to be submitted to the electricity supply authority.

On receipt of the occupancy certificate and vacant possession of the flat from the Builder post registration of the property, you have to apply to the Electricity supply authority for the installation of individual electric meters in the name of the flat owners. On receipt of a security deposit and other installation charges along with the application from flat owners and verification of property papers Electricity supply authority approved the installation of meter in respect of individual flat owners/consumers.
