Despite the challenges, it's crucial to prioritize your safety. In cases of harassment and assault, it's important to report the incidents to the police immediately. You may consider filing a complaint under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) such as Section 323 for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 504 for intentional insult with an intent to provoke breach of peace, and Section 506 for criminal intimidation. While it's understandable that there might be concerns about the repercussions, involving the police is a crucial step towards ensuring your safety. Inform them about the ongoing harassment, the physical assault, and any other relevant details. If needed, seek support from local NGOs or legal aid services that can guide you through the process and provide assistance. Your safety is paramount, and taking legal action can act as a deterrent to such behavior.
