Mental harassment by family Mental harassment by family

I'm being mentally harassed by my mother from many years because I'm her girl child but from last ten years this started becoming more cruel as she call me names and accuse me of things that are not even reality, now from last two years my father and sister also started doing the same and they keep me locked inside all the time, I can't meet anyone or talk to anyone unless they say so I asked for family help but they were no use I have no proof. I did try to stand for myself but she threatened me with saying that she will commit suicide or harm me if she can. What can I do now can I ask for legal help or something else

A.Dear Client,

The details in your query don't provide information about your age or the specific grounds for the emotional abuse or harassment you're experiencing from your mother. It's important to note that a mother is typically regarded as a well-wisher in society.

If you find yourself a victim of unwarranted abuse and harassment with no fault on your part, you have legal options to address the situation. You can file a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act at your local police station. Additionally, you may bring the matter to the attention of the Chairperson of the State/National Women's Commission by emailing [email protected] or filing an online complaint. You can also contact the Human Rights Commission online through their website (https://nhrc.nic.in/complaints/complaints/how-to-file-a-complaints).

Engaging with an NGO that provides dedicated social services in such matters can also be a valuable resource. In some cases, proper counseling by an expert can help resolve the issues amicably.

A.Dear Madam,
It is happening in many Indian houses. First start to earn by yourself and thus you can shift to any of your friends house or stay in a PG centre and then lodge a complaint against your parents or file a civil suit.

A.Dear Client,
The contents of your query do not transpire or reveal your age and any grounds behind the emotional abuse or harassment that you are facing from your mother whose status in our society always remains as a best well-wisher of her children. However, if you find yourself a victim for no fault on your part, then you can file a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act against your mother at the local police station and may bring the matter to the notice of the Chairperson, State/National Women's Commission through email to: [email protected] or filing an online complaint and Human Rights Commission online (https://nhrc.nic.in/complaints/complaints/how-to-file-a-complaints) or an NGO rendered dedicated social service in the matter for resolving the issue. Sometimes proper counseling by an expert resolves the matter amicably.
