Starting a new Liquor brand
Hello! If I want to start a new Liquor brand in India, based out of Karnataka, what kind of License would I be needing? Currently, all licenses that I see on the internet are for the "sale" of liquor and not product of it. Thanks in advance :)
A.Dear Client,
Establishing a liquor manufacturing plant in India entails a complex and time-consuming process, requiring a substantial investment. State governments regulate the liquor manufacturing industry, necessitating the acquisition of various licenses and permits. These include a distillery license, excise license, pollution control board clearance, and approval from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). To proceed, one must obtain these authorizations from the specific state government where the plant is intended to be set up.
