Selling a 2 wheeler to a used bike dealer

I'm selling my 2 wheeler to a used bikes dealer. They don't transfer RC until they find a new buyer. What procedure should I follow for my assurance till the dealer finds a buyer?

Inform the concerned RTO regarding the sale of 2 wheeler enclosing copies of all the receipts of the dealers to protect yourself from any unwanted consequences arising out of the sold vehicle.
