A.Dear Client,

In states like Maharashtra and Gujarat, only farmers are permitted to purchase agricultural land. The 7/12 extract, a crucial document for land transactions, is maintained by the revenue department and prepared by the Talathi and signed by the Tahasildar. To obtain it offline, one must visit the Revenue Department office, fill out a form, submit necessary documents and fees, and await verification. Upon receipt, a letter must be written to the Talathi specifying jurisdiction and land details. After verification, the Talathi updates the records. Based on the updated 7/12 extract, permission to buy agricultural land in Gujarat can be sought from the Tehashildar or District Commissioner.
