The agricultural land i am looking is in the general from 1960 to till date( two owners till date). But it was sold property from SC in 1960. I am not able to make out was it granted land or self acquired .so my questions are
1)Is it ok to proceed to buy??
2) how to find out it was granted land to SC or self acquired land ( before 1960)

If possession is with the present vendor you can purchase and enter into physical possession and file a suit for declaration or permanent injunction and get a dummy civil decree in your favour.
