I am 17yrs old dealing with abusive parents they abuse me everyday . They beat me and even abuse me physically and mentally i want to leave them and want to live in a orphanage

If you are economically dependent on your family you may not have any choice other than to remain in the same house and continue with the ordeals of your life. As you are still a minor, your appeal for rehabilitation in an orphanage would not be considered in the absence of your natural and biological parents. Therefore, you need to arrange for an independent source of income to live your life on your own terms. You have the right to file a complaint against your family if they subjected you to domestic violence in the local police station under Sec.12 of the PWDV Act, 2005. Apart from this, you can make a complaint online (https://nhrc.nic.in/complaints/complaints/how-to-file-a-complaints) to the Chairperson, the National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi and the State Human Rights Commission along with the Chairperson, National Commission for Women and State Commission for Women who are empowered to investigate complaints related to issues faced by women/minor children by sending an email to [email protected] or filing an online complaint. Then are empowered to investigate complaints suo moto bringing the matter to the notice of district administration, like, DC, SP, DSP, DM/SDM, etc You can also seek the help of a social service organization or NGO like the Bachpan Bachao Andolan by contacting their Complaint Cell(24 X 7) helpline, CHILD HELPLINE NUMBER 1800 102 7222, GOVT.
