My neighbour has fixed CCTV cameras in their building and that building is an office. The distance between this building and my home is less than 2 meters. CCTV has a voice recorder in it. Is this legal to place a voice recorder near my home?

A.Dear Client
If the neighbour has put the CCTV camera (with the voice recorder) in his premises then you or anybody else will have no rights to say anything to him as he has fixed that in his premises. But supposes his intention is to just record your movements and voices very close to our house only for you, then it will should not be allowed.

A.Dear client,
CCTVs with audio recording is not illegal, but having it in a residential area and recording your family's matters without consent, will be illegal. It is an invasion of privacy.
Contact the person and ask him to remove it or give a police complaint to get it removed. You can also take action legally through a writ petition.
Article 21 of Indian constitution guarantees Right to Privacy and it s a fundamental right flowing from the right to life and personal liberty as well as other fundamental rights securing individual liberty in the constitution.

A.Dear Sir,
It is not legal and for every minor violation of law you cannot go to Court or Police station. If they do anything against you then you can defend yourself appropriately and teach them a lesson.
